My Online Shop has Closed

Wow! Another month has zipped by and I just noticed this evening I haven’t posted anything in my blog yet for September. Shame on me, but I’ve been crazy busy with a few new clients. The trouble from all of this, is that it’s left me with zero time to market and promote my new website shop I added in March. That’s why I decided to go ahead and pull the plug on it and try another route. I’ve been looking at a lot of micro-stock sites off and on over the past year as a backup anyway, and decided to go with iStockphoto. iStockphoto seems to be hands down one of the best and the most professional in my opinion.

If you bought some of my vector stock art in the past and your looking for more, you can now find my work on iStockphoto. Below are a couple of recent images I’ve posted…

This past week I had the opportunity to be a part of a bid on some animation for the University of Central Arkansas and a local bank. Since I had attended the university in the past I was excited about tackling the project. To help try and win the client over I put together the following samples. Unfortunately my partner and I were not awarded the project. Oh well! You win some you lose some. Anyways the great thing that came out of all of it was it gave me an excuse to do a little 3D and see what I could do in a few hours using the latest version of Blender.

I recently got the chance to create some animation for Electronic Memories and their client, dental pioneer Dr. Matthews out of Houston, Texas. The animation is based on Captain Molar a mascot that Dr. Matthews has used in his children’s dental practice for years. I used Toon Boom Animate Pro to create all the animation for this project. Anime Studio Pro 8

Looks like Smith Micro is rolling out a new version of Anime Studio Pro on the 8th of this month. It’s perfect timing if you ask me since its version 8.

Yesterday I was one of 200 lucky people that was selected for a web seminar to see a demo of the software before its release date. All I can say is Wow!!! Smith Micro has raised the bar again. I can’t wait to upgrade next Wednesday. You can check out some of the new features of Anime Studio Pro 8 here.

Time For A Vacation

It’s definitely time for a vacation. Here’s a photo I took on my last trip to Panama City Beach, FL. Man! I love that place. I’ve been working my tail off the last few months and I’m way past due for a good Florida vacation. I think as soon as I get a break in my work schedule I’m out the door.
