Toon Boom Animate Pro Samples

2D Animation, Toon Boom Animate Pro Add comments

Here are a few samples of 2D animation I put together for a water conservation exhibit in central Florida. I decided to use Toon Boom Animate Pro over Adobe Flash for this project. I’m glad I did, Toon Boom Animate Pro saved me a ton of Time and Money!

Hi, just found this page in a google search for Animate Pro. I bought the program a few months ago and are just about to use it for the first time.

I like your work, simple characters with plenty of secondary small character animation that you only notice if you’re looking (I love the water drop waggling his feet, makes you feel like he’s a child water drop and is having fun), and it really adds to the scene. I think it will be the approach i will try to take with my animation, simple but bold character design, lots of subtle animation to make it feel alive.

How do you find freelancing? Are you managing to find plenty of work or is animation/illustration just one string in your bow?

Thanks Daniel! Freelancing actually kind of found me. I was never really looking for it. Even when I was working full-time at a studio I was always finding myself getting freelance offers for different projects all the time. One day I just decided I needed a new challenge and went for it. I think if you work long enough in any field you build up a network and a reputation. For me it just felt like the next step in my career.

So far it’s worked out great for me and I’ve been very blessed. :)
